I am currently in training to be an animal physiotherapist. My services will be primarily for equines, but also all other species of animal.
Most common reasons to use physiotherapy:
Performance enhancement and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Post-operative rehabilitation for animals with orthopaedic or neurological conditions.
Enhancement of quality of life in patients with degenerative conditions such as arthritis. Physiotherapy slows degeneration and treats compensatory muscle spasm.
Physiotherapy is a complementary therapy which is carried out under veterinary referral.
Treatments are delivered by means of massage therapy, mobilisations, stretches, therapeutic equipment, and rehabilitation plans.
